Maree ReMalia is a dance-maker, performer, and teaching artist. As an adoptee born in South Korea and raised in Ohio, her artistic practice supports her journey of self-discovery and expression. She welcomes seasoned dancers and newcomers into movement, creating opportunities to cultivate connection. Her collaborative performance projects have been presented at venues such as Cleveland Public Theatre, Dance Place, Gibney DoublePlus Festival, Kelly Strayhorn Theater, New Hazlett Theater, and Daegu International Dance Festival. Currently, she is cast in slowdanger’s STORY BALLET and Lida Winfield’s Moving Dialogues Project. She has performed in the work of Alicia Chesser and Steve Liggett, Gabriel Forestieri, Bebe Miller, and Christopher Williams and was a member of MorrisonDance and STAYCEE PEARL dance project. From 2015-2017, she was selected as the Andrew W. Mellon Interdisciplinary Choreographer for Middlebury College Movement Matters Residency and has taught at Bates Dance Festival, Brown University, Carnegie Mellon University, Dreams of Hope Queer Youth Arts, Point Park University, and University of Oklahoma.
